They were 1 and 2 generations removed from those who had started the Hawaiian Renaissance. But the same sense of joy, the same backyard kanikapila aura pervaded their wonderful performance at the Gabby Pahinui Waimanalo Kanikapila Festival.

Beautiful!
I would enjoy this. What a nice way to honor the dead. I read a book where a Chinese family had paper versions of things their grandmother might need after death. They would burn them and the smoke would send them to her.
I love kachati
I love it. Thank you for it
Your contry is democrat. I love it.

I admire the hell out of folk who keep heritage alive. I think you lot are absolutely insane, but at the same time? 'Hold my beer' seems to transcend cultural and ethnic bounds.
That part at the end really just made me realize I’ve never actually seen a Hawaiian person not smiling it’s cool but it’s just weird to think about
Super cool!
I just read about this on an exercise on Cambridge app for English learning and have to come to see how it was
รำสวยมากครับผม

It's sad they aren't a duo anymore 😥
He can also be very funny! Seriously though, Patrick plays beautifully. I first heard his music on the GreenMan Valley You-Tube channel.
Thank you very much!! It is wonderfull to see Seicho-No-Ie around the world. My grandparents were Japaneses and I live in Brazil. I don't have Okinawan background but my girlfriend has. So it is fantastic to find Okinawa odori in Hawaii by Seicho-No-Ie young people!!
Amazing perfomance ... I am here ur new friend .. Stay connected ...
Wish I could be at these places, Like a Ukulele paradise...
I am so proud that you continue with the culture! Don't ever lose that! Language, traditions, all of it! I truly love how the Hawaiian culture is all nature based! Mahalo!😘
Thank you Young Okinawans of Hawaii for sharing your talents with SNI. We are hoping that more people can come and help SNI with their bon odori. They have a nice facility to celebrate this but they need man power, ideas to take off. Every month SNI does ancestor worship for it's members anyone who is interested can join.
The best!

Could Hawaii Craftsmen get a copy of this ? send to info@hawaiicraftsmen.org
I used to go there. Literally spent my childhood here
Next time I visit I'm going to look into this ...so cool. The Hawaiian culture has so much to teach us about life...
Awesome!! Great music and love the wall too!!
So nice to know there are many Bon Odori in Hawaii. I've been living in Idaho and there is a Honganji Japanese temple in Ontario, OR, where is on the border of OR and ID. Japanese traditions are dying out around here, just my opinion. I'm a new Issei came to Idaho 40 years ago.
Peiper!
So good to see all them together really makes it look like it's still the real Hawaii ! All done a wonderful job 😊
I dont mean to be so offtopic but does any of you know of a method to get back into an instagram account? I was stupid lost my password. I would love any help you can give me

@Manuel Justice Thanks for your reply. I found the site thru google and I'm trying it out atm. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
